Frequently Asked Questions

The following is a list of common questions we get asked here at Conexess. Have a question that isn′t listed below?  Then give us a call or send us an email.  We′ll be happy to help you in any way we can.

How many companies use staffing services?

90% of U.S. companies use temporary and contract agencies to assist with consulting and project needs.

How long do people hold contract jobs?

While specific jobs may last from a few hours to several years, the best estimates for the average tenure of contract employees range from three to four months, all the way up to 18 months.

Will I have the opportunity to be considered for a full-time position if I'm currently working for a company as a contract employee?

Yes. There is no guarantee that an employer will directly hire you from us, but your work as a contract employee will increase your chances of a direct hire by the employer.

Will my resume be sent out to potential companies without my knowledge?

No, your resume will never be submitted anywhere without your prior consent. A Conexess technical recruiter will discuss each job description, rate, work environment, location and any other information with you before submitting your resume to any of our clients′ open positions.

How can I be sure that my current employer will not know that I´m looking for a job?

We believe in confidentiality with our candidates. Conexess will not disclose to anyone that you are looking for a career change. Your resume will remain with us until you personally authorize its submission for a specific job opportunity.

What if I´m unhappy where I´m placed?

We take great pride in the relationships we build with our employees. If, for any reason you are unhappy at an assignment with Conexess, please contact your Account Manager immediately. We will work hard to provide an amicable solution to all parties involved.

Will I be guaranteed a job if I work with you?

Conexess cannot guarantee anyone placement in a job with one of our clients. We suggest that you work with us to build your profile so that we can determine your availability, experience, salary expectations, employment expectations, and aptitude.

Do you offer vacation time?

For all of our contract employees Conexess pays you an hourly basis and does not impose a fixed paid vacation schedule. We allow our employees to take off as much time as they wish during an assignment, as long as it falls within the reasonable constraints of our clients. Employees will also have the flexibility to take extended time off between assignments if they wish. Some of our employees rarely take any time off while others may take up to a couple of months off after an assignment. Our business model accommodates everyone.

Do you provide training for your employees?

Conexess Group is primarily in the business of recruiting and placement. We do prepare our candidates for job opportunities by closely reviewing the details and background of the position. By giving our employees the most competitive rates, we allow them to direct their career goals by choosing their own training methods and topics. We don′t mandate a certain type of training for our employees (CBTs, Training Centers, etc.) - we give them the bulk of the rate so they can select whichever training they would like to pursue.

What is your screening process?

Our recruiters interview and conduct reference checks on each potential candidate prior to submitting him or her to any of our clients. This is how we evaluate our candidate′s abilities and knowledge, as well as his or her professionalism, communication skills, and interpersonal skills. We use this interview to better understand the individual′s experience, skill level, and work ethic so that we place the candidate in the job best suited to his or her background. Conexess performs technical testing for all IT positions as well as background checks and drug testing upon client request.

When I am on an assignment for one of Conexess´s clients, who is my employer?

Regardless of which of our clients you work for, Conexess is always your employer. Your Conexess Account Manager is your contact for all work assignments or employment issues.

What kind of pay and benefits do your contract employees receive?

To attract the most qualified employees, we offer highly competitive wages and benefits. Some contract employees earn more than their permanent counterparts. And benefits? We have those too. Contact us for more details.

What types of assignments do you offer?

Jobs range from IT technical support to CIO and are available in virtually all occupations.

Do you charge employees a fee for contract assignments?

No way.  Nor do we charge job seekers when we place them in the permanent position.
